Yes, The Boys Will Rock
Those who really love to rock appreciate others who love to rock. Be you Twee'd out in argyle and pastels, still skankin' to ska or just looking enough room in the crowd to sway back and forth to some 20 minute long guitar noodling, if you really feel the music you are able to tell when you hear a band that not only also feels the music, but embraces it in big ol' lovin' arms like a friend that has been off to war for two years. Fiercely, but with the tender care that comes from being scared you were going to lose something very precious. The Sheds have got that sort of appreciation in spades. Hailing from Cincinnati, they seem to be into making nice, catchy pop songs that are fun without being boisterous, groovy without being stupid and celebratory of music without holding themselves as anything other than dudes with some talent. In Mtn Cat we hear violins, banjos, back porch harmonies and a damn good time in the making. This is how everyone wishes they could spend their evenings, hanging out with a bunch of instruments and making good music.
